Education: Graduated from the Department of Graphic Design, University of Art and Design Helsinki.
Professional specialties: fairytale and historical non-fiction illustrations.
Medium: Pen and ink, watercolor and gouache.

Comments: I always have a shock of recognition when I look at Riikka's painting of Draco, because it is exactly how I have always pictured him looking -- when his mask is down. Her field animals are drawn with intelligence and humor; you know what they are thinking. If that weren't enough, Riikka's atmospheric interiors and buildings show her mastery of perspective. --LWB

Riikka's work has been published by the Finnish publishing houses SKS, Otava and WSOY. She also recently wrote and illustrated a children's' novel, Nokikätkön ritarit ja Kuuhiisi (available only in Finnish so far). She also created the graphics for our sister site, Accio Quote!
