The Hospital Wing
A long line of beds, screens available for privacy, Madam Pomfrey's office is at one end.
In the first film, a painting on the wall shows a woman caring for a patient in a bed. The woman walks into the painting and sits down (PS/f).
The Hospital Wing is a section of Hogwarts.

St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries
- donation by Lucius Malfoy got him Top Box seats at the World Cup (GF8)
- Neville's parents are there (GF30, OP23)
- "complementary medicine" - using Muggle techniques, such as when Augustus Pye, the Trainee Healer, thought that stitches might do the trick with Arthur's snake bite. Molly was not impressed (OP23).
- Lockhart is there (OP23)
- any coins dropped in the Fountain of Magical Brethren in the Atrium of the Ministry of Magic are donated to St. Mungo's.
- The hospital was founded by Mungo Bonham in the late 1500s/early 1600s (fw)

Dragon Pox (QA3,
fw25)
- Gunhilda Kneen had to sit out a Quidditch match due to a case of Dragon Pox in the 1100s (QA3)
- Chauncey Oldridge is credited with being the first known victim of Dragon Pox, but this was in the 1300s (fw25).
- Gunhilda of Gorsemoor, the famous healer, developed a cure for Dragon Pox in the late 1500s/early 1600s (fw37)
- dragon pox is treated on the second floor of St. Mungo's (OP22)
- Dragon pox is contagious, but even after a patient is past that stage he or she will have greenish skin and pockmarked skin (DH2)
- broken bones
- scrofungulus, which is contagious (OP22)
- teeth - regrow them if missing (Harry, DH5)

a malady which causes a person to develop spots on their face.

Ron angrily told the painting that it
was only freckles, but the healer prescribed the following:

A variety of magical maladies are in evidence in the waiting room of
St. Mungo's
(OP22):
- small child who had sprouted huge feathery wings
- man who was wearing jinxed shoes which ate his feet
- a man whose head rang like a bell whenever he moved his head
- a woman whose head had been made into something like a "teapot" - she whistled and gave off steam, and her face was red and sweaty
- people with strange things growing out of them, such as an elephant's trunk
